H.E. Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Vice President of the Republic of Ghana and Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has on Wednesday November 8, 2024, engaged constituents of Afigya Sekyere East, Kwabre East and Manhyia North in the Ashanti Region, as part of his ongoing nationwide constituency-focused campaign.
He has shared his vision for Ghana with the Clergy, Traditional Leaders, Imams, Stakeholders, Youth and the people. His policies for Ghana’s next chapter include free tertiary education for persons living with disability, tax amnesty, flat rate tax system, training of 1,000,000 youth in IT, harnessing of solar and wind power to reduce the high demand on electric energy, zero duty on solar panels, repositioning of Ghana’s education towards STEM and AI, one student one laptop for tertiary students, credit score system, easy passport acquisition with the GhanaCard, expansion of educational infrastructure, among others.
“A Bawumia Government will focus on growing Ghanaian industries through various policies including Buy Ghana First, a flat tax regime, area-specific factories to add value to raw agricultural produce, and Ghanaian made construction essentials such as concrete slabs for roads and railway lines”, Dr. Bawumia added.
He has expressed appreciation for their warm reception and has urged them to vote for him and the NPP Parliamentary Candidates in their respective Constituencies in the December 7 general elections.
