The Vice President of the Republic of Ghana and Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), H.E. Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has Friday November 1, 2024, continued his constituency-focused campaign in the Asutifi North, Tano South and Tano North Constituencies in the Ahafo Region.
He has shared his vision for Ghana’s next chapter in various engagements with Stakeholders, Imams, Chiefs, Clergy, Youth and the people of these Constituencies which include, tax amnesty, harnessing the sun and wind to generate energy to support Ghana’s current source of energy, zero duty on the importation of solar panels, free tertiary education for persons living with disabilities, expansion of educational infrastructure, reposition Ghana’s education system towards STEM and AI, one student one laptop for tertiary students, easy passport acquisition with the GhanaCard, training of 1,000,000 youth, establishment of the Ghana Sports Secretariat, credit score system, Women Trade Empowerment Fund, among other game-changing policies.
Dr. Bawumia further noted the achievements of the NPP government in the last seven years which include the GhanaCard, Free SHS Policy, QR Code, GoRide, GMX, expansion and construction of roads and interchanges, 1D1F, 1 Constituency 1 Ambulance, expansion of healthcare through the Agenda 111 initiative, the 5G network, paperless port system, online passport application, construction of the James Town Fishing Harbour, the CitizenApp, Mobile Money Interoperability, among others.
He has urged them to vote for him as well as vote for the NPP Parliamentary Candidates in their respective Constituencies and has expressed appreciation to the constituents of Asutifi North, Tano South and Tano North for their warm reception.
