The Vice President of the Republic of Ghana and Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), H.E. Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has on Wednesday October 30, 2024, joined the Ghana Police Service as the Review Officer for the 53rd Graduation Ceremony of the National Police Academy and Training School at Tesano, in Accra.
He noted that, “The Ghana Police Service has seen systemic re-orientation and reform over the past few years, the quality of training has also seen a major transformation, while government has also played its part in meeting the logistical and infrastructure needs of the Service.”
“Amongst others, this Government has so far provided 630 New Housing Units in Accra, 720 new vehicles, 5,150 motor bikes, 2 new Regional Police Headquarters Office Complexes, 4 New Ultra Modern Bricks Police stations, and created 8 additional Police Regions, bringing the total to 25”, Dr. Bawumia further added.
He has expressed confidence in the Ghana Police Service ahead of the December 7 general elections and has congratulated the newly commissioned Senior Police Officers, urging them to make Ghana proud.
