The Vice President of the Republic of Ghana and Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), H.E. Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has on Monday November 11, 2024, toured the Bekwai, Bosomtwe, Ejisu and Asokwa constituencies in the Ashanti Region, as part of his ongoing nationwide constituency-focused campaign.
He has elaborated on his vision and policies for Ghana’s next chapter in various engagements with the Imams, Traditional Leaders, Clergy, Stakeholders, Youth and people of these constituencies. They include, District Agric Mechanization Centres, soft loans for women traders and the Women’s Empowerment Fund, training of 1 million youth in IT skills, easy passport acquisition with the GhanaCard, expansion of educational infrastructure, tax amnesty, harnessing the sun and wind to generate energy to support Ghana’s current source of energy, zero duty on the importation of solar panels, establishment of the Ghana Sports Secretariat, free tertiary education for Persons Living with Disabilities, establishment of the Minerals Development Bank, among others.
Dr. Bawumia has expressed appreciation to them for their warm reception, and has urged them to go out in their numbers and vote for him and the NPP Parliamentary Candidates in their respective constituencies in the December 7 general election.
