H.E. Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Vice President of the Republic of Ghana and Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has on Monday October 7, 2024, received the former President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, H.E. Dr. Goodluck Jonathan at the Jubilee House together with a delegation of the West African Elders Forum (WAEF).
Dr. Bawumia noted that, “President Jonathan’s delegation, which also included H.E. Kadre Desire Quadraago, former President of the ECOWAS Commission, is in the country on a pre-election mission, and our discussion centred on ensuring a peaceful election process in Ghana.”
He has reiterated his commitment to a peaceful election process to help preserve the peace and harmony of the country as Ghana is one of the most peaceful countries in the sub-region.
The WAEF is an initiative of the Goodluck Jonathan Foundation which aims at the promotion of democracy, peace and security in the West African sub-Region.
