Vice President Bawumia engages constituents of Akrofuom, Obuasi East and Obuasi West

H.E. Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Vice President of the Republic of Ghana and Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has on Tuesday November 12, 2024, engaged constituents in Akrofuom, Obuasi East and Obuasi West, which forms part of his ongoing constituency-focused campaign in the Ashanti Region.

He has shared his vision and policies for Ghana post-2024 in various meetings with the Clergy, Traditional Leaders, Imams, Stakeholders, Youth and people of these constituencies. Which include, District Agric Mechanization Centres, soft loans for women traders and the Women’s Empowerment Fund, training of 1 million youth in IT skills, easy passport acquisition with the GhanaCard, expansion of educational infrastructure, tax amnesty, harnessing the sun and wind to generate energy to support Ghana’s current source of energy, zero duty on the importation of solar panels, establishment of the Ghana Sports Secretariat, free tertiary education for Persons Living with Disabilities, establishment of the Minerals Development Bank, among others.  

Dr. Bawumia has also engaged members of the Catholic Bishops Conference at the Pope John Paul Formation Centre, and has expressed appreciation to them for their time, their honest and insightful discussions on important national issues including the upcoming December 7 polls.

He has as well expressed gratitude to the people of Akrofuom, Obuasi East and Obuasi West constituencies for their warm reception and has urged them to vote massively for him and the NPP Parliamentary Candidates in their respective constituencies in the December 7 general elections.
