The Vice President of the Republic of Ghana and Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), H.E Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has on Thursday September 5, 2024, had various engagements with people in the Tema East, Tema West and Tema Central Constituencies in the Greater Accra Region, as part of his ongoing constituency-focused campaign.
He has highlighted on his vision and policy for Ghana post-2024 to further enhance development which include the establishment of a Minerals Development Bank, free tertiary education for persons living with disability, training of I,000,000 youth in IT skills, flat rate at the ports, harnessing the sun to produce solar energy, tax exemptions on the importation of solar panels, repositioning Ghana’s education system towards STEM and AI, tax amnesty, credit score system, among others, when he had various engagements with the people of these constituencies.
Dr. Bawumia further outlined the remarkable strides the Akufo Addo/Bawumia administration has achieved which include the Free SHS policy, expansion of educational infrastructure, construction of rural telephony sites, Ghana Card, online application of passport, paperless port, QR code, expansion of roads, construction of interchanges, mobile money interoperability, among others.
He has urged the good people of Tema East, Tema West and Tema Central to rally behind the NPP and vote massively for him and their respective NPP Parliamentary Candidates in the upcoming December 7 general election.
