The Vice President of the Republic of Ghana and Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), H.E. Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has on Thursday July 25, 2024, engaged constituents of the Jirapa, Sissala West and Sissala East constituencies in the Upper West Region, as part of his ongoing constituency-focused campaign.
In various meetings with the Chiefs, stakeholders and youth of these constituencies, Dr. Bawumia has elaborated the tremendous achievements of the Akufo-Addo led administration and the active role he has played in these success stories, saying, “Despite a myriad of challenges, this government has introduced and continues to implement many initiatives that have far-reaching impacts, even for generations unborn. From the issuance of a National ID Card, through Mobile Money Interoperability, which has enabled access to financial and government services, to Free SHS and TVET preparing Ghana’s youth for the 4th Industrial Revolution, I have ably played an active role in fundamentally reforming the Ghanaian society.”
He has also engaged them on his vision and policies when voted as President in the December 7 polls, which include tax amnesty, establishment of a Mining Development Bank, flat tax rate at the ports, among other game changing policies to further enhance development in the country.
The Chiefs and people of theses constituencies, such as the Paramount Chief of the Builsa Traditional Area has hailed the impact the NPP government has had over the last 7 years.
