Vice President Bawumia launches LEADing Justice

The Vice President of the Republic of Ghana and Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), H.E. Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has on Monday April 8, 2024, launched the LEADing Justice initiatives for the Judiciary and the Judicial Service, which is a strategic framework of the vision of Her Ladyship, the Chief Justice of the Republic of Ghana, Justice Gertrude Sackey Torkornoo, in Accra.

He has expressed great joy on the fact that, one of the key components of LEADing Justice is digitalization, which is pivotal in the advancement of the judicial system and justice delivery in Ghana.

Dr. Bawumia noted that, “Having launched the Electronic Case Tracking System for the Criminal Justice sector in 2018 and also witnessing the positive impact the E-justice system, which was launched a year later, is having on the administration of justice, I am delighted that digitalization is a key component of this strategic vision of the Chief Justice.”

He has assured the Chief Justice of government’s continuous support to the judiciary and has urged other stakeholders to support the Chief Justice’s vision to transform the judicial system.
