H.E. Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Vice President of the Republic of Ghana and Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has on Monday October 21, 2024, continued his nationwide constituency-focused campaign in the North Tongu, South Dayi, Afadzato South and Ho West Constituencies in the Volta Region.
He has met with the Chiefs, Imams, Clergy, Stakeholders, Youth and the people of these constituencies on why they should vote for him in the December 7 polls. Dr. Bawumia has shared his vision and policies for Ghana post-2024 which include, free tertiary education for persons living with disability, focusing Ghana’s education system on STEM and AI, harnessing the sun and wind to support Ghana’s current source of energy thereby reducing the cost of electricity bill, free import duty on solar panels, abolishment of the e-levy, tax amnesty, flat tax rate, expansion of educational infrastructure, introduction of the credit score system, training of 1 million youth in IT skills, among other game-changing policies.
Dr. Bawumia has also shared achievements of the NPP government which include the expansion of roads, free TVET, free SHS, GhanaCard, CitizenApp, ECG App, GWCL App, construction of railways, QR code, mobile money interoperability, Digital Adress System, Agenda 111, 1D1F, E-pharmacy, rural telephony projects, among others.
“The NPP has always been a development-oriented party, and under my leadership and government, we will implement bold new ideas, policies and programmes to modernize and transform our dear nation”, he added.
Dr. Bawumia has expressed appreciation to the people of North Tongu, South Dayi, Afadzato South and Ho West Constituencies for their warm reception and tremendous support for the campaign for jobs and businesses. He has also urged them to vote for him and the NPP Parliamentary Candidates in their respective Constituencies in the December 7 general elections.
