Vice President Bawumia tours the Afigya Kwabre South, Old Tafo Pankrono and Suame Constituencies

The Vice President of the Republic of Ghana and Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), H.E. Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has on Sunday October 10, 2024, toured the Afigya Kwabre South, Old Tafo Pankrono and Suame Constituencies in the Ashanti Region, as part of his ongoing nationwide constituency-focused campaign.

He has explained his vision of Bold Solutions for Jobs and Business at various engagements with the Imams, Clergy, Traditional Leaders, Youth and Stakeholders in the various constituencies. His policies for Ghana’s next chapter include tax amnesty, harnessing the sun and wind to generate energy to support Ghana’s current source of energy, zero duty on the importation of solar panels, free tertiary education for persons living with disabilities, expansion of educational infrastructure, repositioning of Ghana’s education system towards STEM and AI, one student one laptop for tertiary students, easy passport acquisition with the GhanaCard, training of 1,000,000 youth, establishment of the Ghana Sports Secretariat, credit score system, the infusion of technology into the agriculture value chain, setting up District Agric Mechanization Centres across the country among others.

“One of the most remarkable achievements of this Government since 2017 has been in the health sector, with 48 Hospitals, 230 Health Centres and 428 CHPS Compounds constructed and over 200,000 personnel recruited; establishment of a world-leading Drone Medical Delivery service; ongoing construction of over 100 hospitals under the Agenda 111 programme, and the networking of health records in all Teaching, Regional, District and hundreds of Health Centres is testament to our commitment to meeting the health needs of Ghanaians”, Dr. Bawumia noted, and has announced that following a successful six month pilot, Kidney Dialysis treatment for all patients will be free from December 1, 2024 under the National Health Insurance Scheme.

He further added that, “The NPP has always cared for the health of the citizenry, and a Bawumia Presidency will do even more to move healthcare into a technology-advanced and more evenly geography-spread service easily accessible to the good people of Ghana.”

Dr. Bawumia has expressed appreciation to the people of Afigya Kwabre South, Old Tafo Pankrono and Suame Constituencies for their warm reception and unwavering support, and has urged them to vote for him and the NPP Parliamentary Candidates in their respective Constituencies in the upcoming December 7 general elections.
