Vice President of the Republic, H.E Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has on December 25, 2023, surprised inmates of the Weija Leprosarium in Accra, with a Christmas lunch.
Dr. Bawumia noted that, on a special day to mark the birth of Jesus Christ, everyone deserves love and joy and there he is excited to have spent the afternoon with his friends, the cured lepers and to see smiles on their faces too.
He added that, “Let us continue to extend compassion and kindness, especially to the needy and the vulnerable amongst us, this festive season”.
Dr. Bawumia is well known for his philanthropic works and has always ensured that the vulnerable in the society have reasons to smile.
