Vice President of the Republic of Ghana and the Flagbearer for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), H.E Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has March 22, 2024, joined the Muslim Community of Kasoa for the Tafsir (interpretation of the verses of the Holy Qur’an) and Iftar (the dusk meal which breaks a day’s Ramadan fast).
The Tasfeer and Iftar he noted, “…are important exercises in the month of Ramadan, as they bring friends and loved ones together, to listen to the word of God, and also join hands to break the Ramadan fast.”
He added that, “The beautiful sight of the Christian Clergy in Kasoa, and non-Muslims, joining us for the Tasfeer and the Iftar, underscored the diversity and religious tolerance of our nation and the mutual respect and understanding between Muslims and Christians.”
