The Vice President of the Republic of Ghana and Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), H.E. Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has on Sunday May 12, 2024, joined the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II and the people of Asanteman to celebrate Akwasidae, which also marked the Climax of his 25th Enstoolment Anniversary celebration, at the Manhyia Palace.
He noted that, “Our traditional authorities play an important role in consolidating our democratic dispensation and we shall continue to seek support in nation building.” Dr. Bawumia has also congratulated the Asantehene and has wished him a long reign in wisdom.
Dr. Bawumia was accompanied by a delegation from the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
