Vice President of the Republic of Ghana and Presidential Candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), H.E. Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has on March 25, 2024, joined the Muslim Community in Tuba, Accra, for Tafsir and Iftar for the observation of the Ramadan fast.
Tafsir, is the interpretation of the verses of the Holy Qur’an and observed throughout the period of the Ramadan fast and, Iftar is the dusk meal which breaks a day’s Ramadan fast.
Some members of the Clergy in the area joined the Muslims in the community to break the fast, pray for loved ones, as well as Ghana.
Dr. Bawumia has expressed appreciation to people of the Tuba community and its surroundings for their warm reception.
