H.E Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Vice President of the Republic, has on December 5, 2023, held bilateral discussions with Rt. Hon. James Heappey MP, UK Minister for the Armed Forces at the Jubilee House.
Dr. Bawumia has disclosed that their discussions were fruitful saying, “Our fruitful deliberations, focused on strengthening Ghana’s security and defence relationship with the UK, through the UK- Ghana Security Dialogue”.
He further added that, the increasing challenges in the West African sub-region and Ghana’s vital role in maintaining regional security, notably maritime security in the Gulf of Guinea, was also discussed.
