The Vice President of the Republic of Ghana and Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), H.E. Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has on Tuesday October 5, 2024, continued his ongoing nationwide constituency-focused campaign in the Offinso North, Offinso South and Afigya Kwabre North Constituencies in the Ashanti Region.
He has explained his vision of Bold Solutions for Jobs and Business at various engagements with the Imams, Clergy, Traditional Leaders, Youth and Stakeholders in the various constituencies. His policies for Ghana’s next chapter include tax amnesty, harnessing the sun and wind to generate energy to support Ghana’s current source of energy, zero duty on the importation of solar panels, free tertiary education for persons living with disabilities, expansion of educational infrastructure, reposition Ghana’s education system towards STEM and AI, one student one laptop for tertiary students, easy passport acquisition with the GhanaCard, training of 1,000,000 youth, establishment of the Ghana Sports Secretariat, among others.
Dr. Bawumia further outlined the remarkable strides the Akufo Addo/Bawumia administration has achieved which include the Free SHS policy, expansion of educational infrastructure, construction of rural telephony sites, Ghana Card, online application of passport, paperless port, QR code, construction and expansion of roads, construction of interchanges, mobile money interoperability, construction of the James Town Fishing Harbour, Free TVET, STEM education, among others.
He has expressed appreciation to them for their warm reception and unwavering support for his vision to lead Ghana to upgrade, and has also urged them to play active roles in deciding Ghana’s next chapter by voting massively for him and the NPP Parliamentary Candidates in their respective constituencies in the December 7 polls.
