The Vice President of the Republic of Ghana and Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), H.E. Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has on Thursday May 2, 2024, commissioned the reconstructed Appiatse township.
He noted that, “On 21st January 2022, I visited Appiatse in the Western Region to empathize with the residents after an explosion destroyed the town completely. I assured the community that President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo would reconstruct the community and bring it back to life. Thanks be to God, today I commissioned the reconstructed Appiatse township. Thanks be to God, today I commissioned the reconstructed Appiatse township.”
Dr. Bawumia has expressed gratitude to the Trustees, Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources, all other state actors & agencies and the general public who played roles in making it a reality.
