Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has welcomed Ms Emma Theofelus, Namibia’s Deputy Information, Communication & Technology to the Jubilee House, on Monday, November 20, 2023.
The Deputy Minister’s visit to the Jubilee House is to discuss Ghana’s digitalization drive and its impact on the transformation of the country, and she has lauded Ghana for the enormous achievements in digitalization.
“While commending Ghana on strides made, particularly, in issuing digital national identity card (Ghana Card), digital address system, mobile money interoperability, delivery of government services online, among others, Ms Emma Theofelus expressed Namibia’s desire to study Ghana’s blueprint”, Dr. Bawumia said.
Ms. Emma Theofelus has also commended Ghana’s internationally recognized Year of Return and December’s Beyond the Return tourism initiatives, noting that Namibia has established a similar program dubbed “November in Namibia” to boost tourism.
