H.E Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Vice President of the Republic, has on August 8, 2023, commissioned a Junior High School (JHS) block and a fully equipped ICT centre for the Kwaboatan Primary and JHS, in the Ayensuano District of the Eastern Region.
This comes as a fulfillment to the promise Dr. Bawumia made to the Akuapem Presbytery in 2022, during their 100 th Anniversary celebration. “The classroom block, which I funded, is in fulfillment of a promise I made to the Akuapem Presbytery, during its Centenary Anniversary celebration last year”, he said.
“I thank God for the successful completion of this project, which is a legacy gift from me to the Akuapem Presbytery, on its landmark 100 th Anniversary”, he added.
Dr. Bawumia made a pledge to build the classroom block for the community when he joined them to celebrate their Centenary Anniversary, by way of contributing his quota in building the legacy projects the church had decided on.
