The Vice President of the Republic of Ghana and Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has on Monday August 12, 2024, joined the Ghanaian youth to mark the 2024 International Youth Day and the 3rd Edition of the National Youth Conference, in Accra.
He has noted that, “this NPP government has laid the foundation for the creation and sustenance of businesses, jobs and other opportunities for Ghanaian youth in the Fourth Industrial Revolution, which is anchored on Digitalization”.
Dr. Bawumia further added that, the Ghanaian youth is ready to favourably compete with their peers across the globe due to the implementation of digital initiatives like the mass issuance of the Ghana Card, the National Digital Property Address System, the Mobile Money Interoperability which has significantly improved financial inclusion, the upcoming rollout of a Credit Scoring System, among others.
Adding that, “inspite of these strides, Government is committed to doing even more, and from 2025 other key areas such as land and Chieftaincy administrations will also receive major attention”.
