Vice President of the Republic, H.E Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has on January 8, 2024, joined the youth of Mamprugu Zaabuni for the maiden edition of the Annual Congress of Mamprugu Zaabuni Youth for Development in Walewale.
He has commended the brains behind the group and the youth of Mamprugu, “for establishing such a progressive association, which is aimed at fostering unity and promoting development”.
H.E Dr. Bawumia added that, “Our Government has always encouraged and supported the development objectives of such youth associations across the country, and we will continue to do that, in our quest to ensure inclusive development in every part of the country”.
He shared some of Government’s developmental projects in the area and nationwide which include, Government’s flagship policy on education, Free SHS, which has enhanced access to free secondary education, sports facilities, jobs for the youth, roads, creation of new regions and associated infrastructure, digital initiatives which have enhanced access to government services, zipline drone delivery for medicines, construction of new court buildings, etc.
