The Vice President of the Republic, H.E Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has delivered the keynote address at the NPP-UK International Women Conference on June 10, 2023, in London.
“I outlined over a hundred (100) substantial problems this government inherited but has fixed or made progress on, many of which are happening for the first time since independence”, he said while addressing the gathering.
Dr. Bawumia further added that, the NPP government under President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, despite the global economic crisis as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic and the Russia-Ukraine war has a solid record of achievement.
He also added that the party is set to do what no party in the history of Ghana has ever done, thus breaking the eight-year cycle saying, “As has been the mantra of most of us, we seek to do what has not happened in our country before by breaking the eight-year cycle of democratic political rule. We are very much convinced that we will be able to do this, by the grace of God, because of our performance”.
