Awards

Dr. Prempeh was selected as the 2020 recipient of the Harvard Ministerial Medal of Achievement in recognition of his work over the past four years towards strengthening public education in Ghana. Specific criteria include insightful leadership, clarity of purpose, consistent commitment to the goals, and tangible benefits for citizens from the Minister’s efforts.

In 2022, at the Africa Public Sector Conference & Awards, Dr. Prempeh was named as Best Minister in the year under review. In the same year, at the Ghana Energy Awards, he was also recognized for his outstanding leadership leading energy stakeholders towards the transformation of the sector.

Dr. Prempeh has received honorary doctorate degrees from 3 public Universities -University of Cape Coast, University of Education, Winneba and the University of Professional Studies and Administration for his outstanding performance as Minister for Education.

In May 2023, Dr. Prempeh was also awarded by the Civil Service for his outstanding leadership, among other important honours and awards in his public service journey.
