The Vice President of the Republic of Ghana and Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), H.E. Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has on Monday May 6, 2024, co-chaired the Ghana-EU Partnership Dialogues, with the EU Ambassador to Ghana, H.E. Irchad Razaaly, in Accra.
He noted that, “The dialogue, which is held annually, has served as an invaluable forum for nurturing mutual understanding, as well as fostering cooperation and partnership between Ghana and the European Union.”
Dr. Bawumia further added that, at a time when global issues affect several countries, including Ghana and the EU, the dialogue has become even more important in bringing Ghana and the EU closer together, strengthen economic cooperation while promoting sustainable development, peace, security, democracy, prosperity, and solidarity, among other things.
This year’s dialogue was geared towards addressing pressing issues of mutual interest such as socio-economic partnership, peace and security, governance and human rights, green growth, technology, and sustainability.
