The Vice President of the Republic of Ghana and Presidential Candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), H.E. Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has on March 26, 2024, held an engagement session with traders’ association and magazine leaders in the Bono Region.
He remarked the benefits of the engagement saying, “It was an enlightening encounter, which has given me further insight into the frustrations traders and businesses go through over the current cumbersome tax system.”
Dr. Bawumia added that, he has been encouraged by the massive reception of the traders and their appreciation of his proposed business-friendly tax reforms, especially the flat tax rate and the tax amnesty for individuals and businesses which will be implemented under his administration in 2025.
