The leadership of the Evangelical Presbyterian (EP) Church, Ghana, led by the Moderator, Rt
Rev Lt Col Bliss Divine Kofi Agbeko (Rtd), paid a visit to the Vice President of the Republic,
H.E Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia at the Jubilee House on Wednesday, February 22, 2023.
Addressing the delegation, H.E Dr. Bawumia said, harmonious religious diversity and
acceptance is vital for the development of our dear nation Ghana. He also commended the
leadership of the Evangelical Presbyterian (EP) Church, and all religious leaders, for their
continued efforts in nation-building.
The delegation was at the Jubilee House to express appreciation to the Vice President for his
active involvement in the launch of the Church’s 175 th Anniversary celebrations and also to pray for the nation.
H.E Dr. Bawumia in August 2022 attended the launch of EP Church’s 175 th Anniversary
celebration where he said, “The gains we have made as a nation, pre- and post- independence, in moral, spiritual and socio-economic development would not have been possible without the key involvement of the church. We cannot mention any monumental contribution to nation-building without recognizing the important role of the EP Church of Ghana”.
He also added that, the Presbyterian mission was a key part in the multi-faceted development of the country, adding that there was no doubt that the church, and for that matter Christianity, had played a vital role in the emergence and development of formal education in the country.
